Jennine Buchanan

Jennine graduated with First Class Honours before obtaining her Postgraduate qualifications where she was awarded the JPB Maxwell Scholarship.

From September 2013, she practised as a Barrister specialising in Family, Matrimonial, and Children’s Law cases. In her spare time, Jennine volunteered with the Legal Support Project at the Law Centre (NI), providing pro bono advice and representation. In 2015 and 2016 she also held the post of Part-time Lecturer and Law Tutor at the University of Ulster and was a Mentor on the University’s Mentoring Scheme.

Jennine took on the role of Legal Consultant specialising in Family and Matrimonial Law in 2016 for a firm of Solicitors in Co. Armagh. She then moved to work for a Belfast firm and continued practice in her specialist area.

In 2019 Jennine joined Peter Dornan & Co Solicitors and deals with all Family, Matrimonial, Domestic and Children's matters at all Court tiers. She has been appointed to the Children’s Order Panel and is a member of the Family Law Solicitors Association and the Belfast and Ards and North Down Solicitors’ Associations.

Jennine is married and loves to travel. She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking dishes from different cultures and spending time in her garden.

  3. Matrimonial Law and relationship breakdown including Divorce, Dissolution of Civil Partnerships, Annulment, Judicial Separation, Ancillary Relief, Financial Agreements, Pension sharing orders, Mareva or Freezing Injunctions to prevent the dissipation of assets, Spousal Maintenance claims.
